this is an entry for :iconlalunatique:'s contest Mid-Season Activity (4 entries)

I used her reference here: STOCK - PowerGirl 01

im not totally sure i should have removed the background

This took so long to do so Im happy that its finally finished.

>so first i did a sketch of what i wanted
>then I tried the thing where you transfer your sketch to a new paper using tracing paper.
>then i transferred that onto a new paper. This ended up with a super light sketch.

I like your drawing, it is expressive :) I like the combinaison of watercolr+color pencils you did, it created some texture effects and shadows.

About coloring, the thing is to search for the color (observing the original, and making it from the material you have, with several tries). Useful thing is to try coloring on a piece of paper that will be for that purpose (not the sketch sheet, so sad mistakes are mostly kept away).

By the time you will get more practice and experience with watercolor, color pencils techniques. So your drawing, that is fine already, will continue to enhance your artworks :)
